I am passionate about fostering supportive, trusting relationships that empower clients to overcome challenges and move forward in positive, productive ways. I am always excited to utilize my skills as an EMDR trained Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist to help my clients walk through their difficult past trauma. I am a Clinical Supervisor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health as well as a Field Liaison with the ASU School of Social Work. My goal is to combine leadership, clinical expertise, and a trauma-informed approach to drive meaningful outcomes for both clients and teams.
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adoption, pregnancy loss, chronic pain, and chronic illness. My goal is to provide a healing, compassionate space where clients feel seen, supported, and equipped with tools for long-term resilience.
With nearly 14 years of experience working across diverse settings, including first response and on-scene crisis intervention, hospital crisis care, and in-home and hospital-based therapy.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University, where I also serve as a field liaison, supporting graduate-level students. I bring a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to every individual and family I serve. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my goal and focus will be and has always been an individualized plan for every client.
I am an independent affiliated therapist with Family Perspectives, LLC. I use therapeutic approaches that I find best suit my client’s needs and I schedule my own clients.
Feel free to call me to schedule an appointment. I look forward to meeting with you.
When trauma has shaped you, try not to confuse who you had become with who you can be. ~ Dr. Thema Bryant Davis
EMDR works because it allows the brain to heal and reorganize information in the very way the person’s system would have wanted to do in the first place had it not been caught up in a fight/flight/freeze stress response. ~ Kendra Doukas, LMFT
Talia outside of the counseling space
I love spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and creating meaningful memories together. Whether we’re camping, hiking, traveling, or simply enjoying a new adventure, I find so much value in slowing down, connecting, and being present with the people I love.
I believe healing often happens in safe, supportive relationships and through experiences that help us reconnect with ourselves and the world around us. Time in nature and shared adventures remind me of the importance of resilience, curiosity, and finding moments of peace even during difficult seasons of life. These values deeply influence the way I approach counseling — with authenticity, compassion, and a belief that growth can happen one step at a time.
“The wound is not your fault, but the healing is your responsibility.” — Gabor Maté
